What is the eggshell membrane?
The eggshell membrane refers to the thin membrane found inside the shell of an egg. It gently protects the chick within the egg and stops germs getting to it. The healing properties of this membrane have been long recognized and is even included in the book of Chinese medicine, the "Compendium of Materia Medica".
The effects of eggshell membrane
The membrane increases the amount of "fibroblast", which generates "hyaluronic acid" and "collagen" which are essential for preserving the elasticity of the skin. Additionally, it promotes the production of "type III collagen" which can recreate the softness of a baby's skin, improves the condition of dry and rough patches of skin, gives better elasticity, leaves skin soft and smooth, and improves its healing abilities.

Q. Can people with allergies to eggs (egg whites and egg yolks) also use these products?
The allergen that causes allergies to eggs is found in the egg white and is not present in the eggshell membrane. However, to ensure safe usage, please carry out a patch test to check for adverse effects before use.
Q. What are the benefits of using eggshell membranes?

Q. What does it smell like? Does it smell of eggs?
